Music fonts
Sibelius Cloud Publishing supports the standard set of fonts that
ship with Sibelius, namely:
- Opus
- Inkpen
- Helsinki
- Reprise
Other music fonts are not supported (but panic not, all hope is not lost! See the note on Custom fonts below).
You may need to edit your score in Sibelius to use a standard
one of the standard fonts above. This guarantees that your score will appear the same on the internet as it does in Sibelius itself.
Text fonts
It’s also important to note that different operating systems have
a varying set of fonts installed by default - you cannot assume
that all computers will have your favourite font installed.
Here’s a safe list that you can stick to:
- Arial
- Comic Sans (!)
- Courier New
- Georgia
- Times New Roman
- Trebuchet MS
- Verdana
Font substitution
Sibelius Cloud Publishing uses the same font substitution
algorithm that Sibelius itself uses. In other words, we’ll always
do our best to display your score even if it contains a font that
isn’t available. We do recommend checking your published scores
to make sure they have the same visual appearance that you expect.
Custom fonts
If you’d like to use a custom font in Sibelius, please let us know
and we may be able to arrange to support it!
