To Register, you will need an account on Avid.com. After creating an account, login and look for the “Linked Avid Accounts” section and click the “Create Account” link next to “Developer Account”. Once you have a Developer account, download the App Creator Tool or Starter Kit for Apps and Services. To run your integration in deployed Cloud UX environment, you will need to to the Avid Marketplace to obtain a license
Commercializing your App and/or Service may require that you become certified as an Avid Certified Developer for the toolkit that you are using once you download a toolkit, you’ll be registered to take the exam at any time. Use My Certifications to find the exams.

Submit your public developer key to ensure that your signed app will match with your developer account by logging into your account and look for “Developer Certificates” in the “My Developer Account” section. You will use the form submit your .pem public key. This will allow Avid to match your apps private key with the public key we have on file when you onboard to the marketplace

Test your integration
Contact email@example.com to request a link to download the latest Avid MediaCentral | Cloud UX VM environment or to request access to a fully functional Avid sandbox for your testing. You will also need to request a temporary developer license to test your integration in the sandbox environment. Test results will need to be provided to the Avid certification team when you onboard your product through the Avid Marketplace.
Sell Your Product
Register as a Seller on the Avid Marketplace
All MediaCentral App/Services, whether for internal use or commercial distribution, will require a license to run in a deployed Cloud UX environment. Licensing requires your App/Service to be onboarded to the Avid Marketplace and certification by Avid. Get a head start on the process by Creating your Avid Marketplace seller account. Avid will contact you to discuss the contractual agreement for becoming a seller.
Pre-Register your App or Service
Once you are approved as a seller, pre-register your app or service in your Avid Marketplace seller account. This process will create an Application ID and Application Secret. that you will need

Test your Integration thoroughly before submission
Avid can provide you with a deployable MediaCentral | Cloud UX Virtual Machine for you to test your App/Service with. It is expected that you will fully test and fix any issues prior to submitting to Avid for Certification
Complete the Certification questionnaire:
- Provide documentation and info on all API calls and functionality
- Provide Information on connectivity requirements to the product that your App/Service connects to
- Send to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Avid will work with you to schedule a certification Demo
- The demo is a webinar style demonstration of your app/service running in Avid’s Certification Environment
Publish to the Marketplace
Use the App Creator Tool or Starter Kit to publish your App / Service to the Marketplace You will need the
Application ID and Secret that you

-All commercial integrations will be available on Avid’s worldwide pricebook
-Avid pays 50% off list for commercially available product for items that will be listed on the pricebook.
-When purchased, the App/Service package will be available for download from the customers Avid.com account
